Petit Architect’s after-school STEAM classes are filled with hands-on learning projects that inspire curiosity and ignite a love for the world of architecture. Whether your child dreams of building skyscrapers or creating sustainable homes, our classes provide the perfect foundation for children of all ages.

TINY ARCHITECTS (intro class)
For ages 4-6 years old
In this class, for our youngest architects, we introduce children to the magical world of architecture, where they will play with geometric shapes, explore patterns, and let their creativity shine. As they build and play, not only will they build up their fine arts and motor skills, but they'll also discover fascinating tales about famous architects and iconic buildings.
This class will host a smaller group of 8 children maximum. All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their models home.
What skills we’ll learn
Intro to Architecture
Students will get a glimpse into famous architectural styles, buildings, and architects. This will begin an appreciation for cultural history and the built environment all around us.Spatial Awareness
Students will learn about shapes and how objects fit together, building an understanding of space and basic geometry.Fine Motor Skills
Using tools like scissors and glue strengthens hand coordination and dexterity, which supports writing and other detailed tasks.Problem-Solving
Designing and building structures encourages creative thinking and teaches resilience as students figure out how to make human centered designs.

DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE FOR KIDS (all level class)
For ages 6-10 years old
Begin a journey of architectural discovery with our engaging and creative hands-on classes designed for kids aged 7 to 12! Every week, young architects will explore the incredible worlds of famous architects and design concepts, growing their creativity through the creation of 2D drawings and 3D models. We transform learning into an exciting adventure, encouraging children to observe and appreciate their built and natural surroundings. As they learn about new concepts, their vocabulary blossoms and their fine motor skills thrive through the exciting process of drawing and model-making, just like real architects in the making!
All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their models home.
What skills we’ll learn

This class is the same as Design and Architecture for Kids but targeted towards older kids. Every week, young architects will explore the incredible worlds of famous architects and design concepts, growing their creativity through the creation of 2D drawings and 3D models. DESIGN THINKERS AND MAKERS (advanced class)
For ages 8-14 years old
Jump into the world of architecture with longer, more complex projects! Imagine crafting your own lamp, designing a playground, shaping a neighbourhood, or even coming up with your own restaurant concept. In these sessions, students not only explore the fascinating design process but also refine their creative problem-solving skills. With a maximum of 12 students per class, each child gets the personalized attention they need to turn their imaginative ideas into masterpieces.
All supplies are included and you will take your models home with you.
