JOB OPPORTUNITIES
BILINGUAL ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN EDUCATOR
Hours: Flexible 10-20 hours/week - must be available 3 days / week from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm
Location: Greater Vancouver, B.C., and sometimes remote
Are you a creative individual who loves working with children? Are you fluent in French and passionate about education, design, and hands-on learning? Petit Architect is looking for a French-Speaking Educator to join our team year-round to help deliver engaging workshops and programs focused on architecture, sustainability, and creativity for kids aged 6–12.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead in delivering architecture classes/workshops in French to children in schools, community spaces, and event settings.
Help develop and adapt lesson plans and activities to be delivered in French, ensuring they are age-appropriate, interactive, and fun.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity.
Prepare and maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage classroom materials and supplies.
Work closely with other team members to support a range of educational programs throughout the year (in-school workshops, Pro-D Days, weekend events, seasonal camps, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Fluent in French and English is mandatory
Experience teaching or working with children in educational or camp settings is an asset
Background or strong interest in architecture and/or design
Skilled in hands-on crafts, drawing, and/or model making
Energetic, creative, dependable, and enthusiastic about teaching
Criminal record check will be required and Red Cross Certification is an asset

STUDIO COORDINATOR
Hours: Flexible 10-15 hours/week
Location: 2490 W. 37 th ave, Vancouver BC, V6M1P5
The Studio Coordinator plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in maintaining our STEAM studio’s organization, materials, and class logistics. This part-time position is ideal for someone who loves the intersection of arts and sciences, thrives in a creative learning environment, and enjoys supporting a team of educators.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Studio Operations & Organization:
Maintain a clean, safe, and inspiring studio environment for STEAM classes.
Set up and reset classroom spaces for different activities and age groups.
Help manage the studio schedule and ensure smooth transitions between classes.
Materials & Supply Management:
Track inventory and order materials such as art supplies, and technology tools.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of class-specific supplies.
Organize and label materials for easy access by instructors and students.
Instructor & Class Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for STEAM instructors regarding curriculum lessons, scheduling, supplies, and studio needs.
Curriculum Support: Help develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and hands-on activities that align with our educational goals.
Prep class materials every trimester and weekly as needed.
Ensure teachers have what they need before, during, and after classes.
Administrative &; Program Support:
Assist with basic office and clerical tasks (printing rosters, collecting attendance, posting signage)
Support with logistics for events, exhibits, or family nights related to STEAM programming.
Occasionally communicate with families about class logistics or updates
Assist with scheduling, communication with students, parents, and volunteers, and other studio operations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
Interest in STEAM education and hands-on learning
Comfort with light tech setup (e.g., tablets, projectors, TV)
Ability to lift and move classroom supplies and materials as needed.
Prior experience in an architecture, design, educational, arts, or makerspace environment is a plus.
Driving licence and access to a car an asset.
Experience with model-making, design software (Adobe Creative Suite), and hands-on building projects is an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a creative and fast-paced environment.

HEAD AFTER-SCHOOL EDUCATOR
Hours: Hours: 5–20 hours per week – must be available 3 days / week from 3pm am to 6pm (optional weekend work too)
Location: Around Greater Vancouver
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Educator to lead and oversee the delivery of our STEAM-based after-school classes and camps. This part-time role is ideal for an energetic educator with a strong background in teaching, curriculum implementation, and working with children in informal education settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead engaging, hands-on STEAM activities for students in after-school programs and camps.
Serve as the primary point of contact and onsite leader for instructional staff during classes and camps.
Train, mentor, and supervise assistant educators and volunteers to ensure high-quality program delivery.
Prepare, transport, and set up materials and classroom spaces in accordance with lesson plans.
Collaborate with the curriculum team to adapt and improve lesson content based on student needs and program feedback.
Communicate effectively with parents, program partners, and internal staff to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
Ensure safety protocols and behavioral guidelines are upheld at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, STEM field, or related discipline (or equivalent
experience).
Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or leading educational programs for children.
Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Experience with STEAM content and hands-on teaching methodologies.
Ability to work independently and manage part-time schedules, including afternoons and school breaks.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different program sites, if applicable.
Proficiency in navigating Zoom

BILINGUAL WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Petit Architect seeks an energetic, dedicated, creative and passionate facilitator to conduct environmental and climate workshops in elementary and secondary schools.
The facilitator must be familiar with architecture and sustainability and have experience teaching or facilitating with children and/or youth. Its role will be to deliver our activities and workshops to students. Adaptability and maturity to lead workshops are essential. Building positive and empathetic relationships with students and teachers is important in this position. The person must have the ability to manage a class from kindergarten to grade 12, in person and by Zoom/online. The candidate must demonstrate the adaptability and flexibility required for teaching as a guest in a school and be able to travel around B.C.
The facilitator will conduct workshops as lead or co-host and provide a fun learning experience for children in a safe environment. A high level of integrity and professionalism will require to be to work across different cultures to deliver workshops in both the English and French communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating and implementing creative and engaging educational content (activities/workshops) according to Canadian curriculum standards
Gather and prepare appropriate pedagogical material to provide to students a suitable environment.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
Always maintain a high level of professionalism
Welcome students and teach them by personally involving all of them and creating an environment based on respect, patience, empathy, and kindness.
Ability to mobilize, motivate and inspire students to learn.
Capable of delivering and keeping student attention during a 60 to 180 min workshop in person or online
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with autonomy and flexibility.
