BILINGUAL ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN EDUCATOR

Are you an outgoing individual, with a love for arts and crafts that can be used to make models? Do you love sharing your passion with children to create an educational program and can maintain a working environment in a classroom? Then bring your positive attitude and resiliency into a classroom as our Bilingual Design Educator!

  • Prepares and reviews lesson plans and corresponding material lists requirements.

  • Delivers and teaches architectural workshops in schools, throughout Metro Vancouver, BC, and online.

  • Keeps a good learning environment in the classroom.

TYPE OF WORK:

  • Part time contract work to start, possible employment after.

  • Must be able to work from 8.30 am to 3.30pm, minimum 3 days per week (Ideally Tue, Wed, Thu)

  • Additional work possible after-school hours and on weekend if interested

  • Remote and onsite

  • Flexible hours

  • Some travel possible in B.C.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluent in French and English is mandatory

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm

  • Must have a background in architecture or design / or a strong interest.

  • 1 year or more of experience working with children.

  • Background or strong interest in arts, architecture and/or design.

  • Strong capabilities in crafts, drawing, and model making.

  • Self-motivated, passionate, approachable.

  • Outgoing, friendly, upbeat and fun!

  • Criminal record check and Red Cross Certification will be required.

  • Access to reliable transportation (car preferred).

  • Formal teaching training is an asset but not required.

  • Experience preparing lesson plans is preferred.

  • Experience with administrative tasks

  • Working knowledge of MS Suite and Teams

  • Able to teach online with your own laptop.

LOCATIONS:

  • Different locations throughout Metro Vancouver and B.C, and periodically online.

north shore EDUCATOR

  • Teaching architecture workshops in Vancouver (North Shore area) to children.

  • Preparing lesson plans and material lists.

  • Must have a background in architecture or design / or a strong interest.

  • Must have a reliable transportation mode with room to carry supplies around (car preferred)

  • Fluent in French and English is preferred

 TYPE OF WORK:

  • Part time contract work to start, or COOP possible for 20 to 30 hours (must be enrolled in a university)

  • Available to work at least 3 days / week from 3pm to 7pm

  • Possible work on weekend too

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual English and French an asset

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm

  • 1 year or more of experience working with children.

  • Background or strong interest in architecture and design.

  • Strong capabilities in crafts, drawing, and model making.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

We are looking for volunteers (age 15+) to support our Pro D workshops, camps, and after-school classes in and around Vancouver and Victoria.

 TYPE OF WORK:

  • Volunteer

  • Half day to a whole week, up to you!

DATES NEEDED & LOCATION:

  • Pro d days all year round

  • Winter, spring and summer camps

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm

  • Some working with children.

  • Strong capabilities in crafts, drawing, and model making.

  • Self motivated, passionate, approachable.
