DESIGN THINKERS & MAKERS
This is an advanced class
Dive head first into the world of design with longer, more complex projects! Imagine crafting your own lamp, designing a playground, shaping a chair, or even creating custom sunglasses. In these sessions, kids not only explore the fascinating design process—ideating, prototyping, testing, making, and sharing their creations—but also hone their creative problem-solving skills. With a maximum of 12 students per class, each child gets the personalized attention they need to turn their imaginative ideas into masterpieces.
Skills students will learn:
Design Process Mastery
Kids will gain a deep understanding of the steps behind great design: ideate, prototype, test, refine, and share—building skills they can use in future creative or technical pursuits.Advanced Making & Prototyping
Through hands-on projects like lamps, chairs, and wearables, students will gain practical building experience with a variety of tools and materials—bringing their designs to life.Human-Centered Design Thinking
Students will learn to design with people in mind—considering how objects, spaces, and experiences can solve real-world problems and improve everyday life.Creative Problem Solving
From idea to final prototype, kids will build confidence in tackling open-ended challenges by brainstorming, iterating, and adapting their designs along the way.
