Architectural Drawing & Sketching (Age 9 to 14)

This class made for older children (ages 9-14) is designed to introduce young minds to the fascinating world of architectural drawing. Through interactive lessons and creative activities, students will learn how to draw in perspective and work with light and shadow on their journey to become budding architects. This class will have a maximum of 12 students. All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their work home.

Drawing and Sketching Skills

Using different mediums such as pencil drawing, chalks or watercolors, students learn how to draw just like an architect! Sketching, perspective drawing, lights and shadows… and more!

Cognitive Improvement

Students can improve cognitive development by enhancing problem-solving skills, spatial reasoning, and creativity.

Architecture for Older Kids (Age 10 to 14)

This is our signature class!

Discover famous architects and buildings, play with materials and materiality, learn architectural drawings and build 3D models just like an architect! Our projects are different each term so your kids can keep learning. This class will have a maximum of 12 students. All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their work home.

Real World Understanding

Through hands-on projects and discussions on building design and construction techniques, students gain a tangible understanding of the concepts and processes involved in creating real-world structures in an architecture class.

Confidence Building

Students get hands-on experience of designing and constructing their own structures also increases their self-esteem, as they see their ideas come to life and are proud of their accomplishment.

Design Thinkers & Makers (Age 8 to 16)

Dive deeper into the world of design with fun hands-on projects. By designing a lamp, a playground, a chair, or sunglasses, kids will learn about the design process (ideating, prototyping, testing, making and sharing about their design), and will be able to work deeper on a project through several sessions. This class will have a maximum of 12 students. All supplies will be provided and students will be able to take their models home.

Creative Problem Solving

Students will explore their ideas with two-dimensional drawings and transform them into three-dimensional models.

Integrity and Achievement

By exploring and designing structures, kids in architecture class learn the importance of integrity and perseverance in achieving their goals and creating successful projects.

Overall a positive experience driven by the quality of instructors/facilitators and structure of camp. The kids appeared to have developed rapport amongst themselves over the week and were able to collaborate to build a ‘city’ display which had a number of impressive elements to it.
