8 Kid Friendly Activities Around Vancouver to Encourage Creativity and Learning

With warmer weather ahead and things finally opening back up, we’ve been eager to get out of our houses and ease back into our normal lives.

We’re excited to share with you today some of our favourite places to take your kids in the Vancouver area to stimulate their inner architect and encourage their creativity!

The Polygon

Kids First Saturdays is a great workshop for kids to create a project based on the current exhibitions shown in the gallery. This includes architecture! The projects are geared towards kids 5 to 12 and are always a hit. Sign up here.

The Vancouver Art Gallery

The Young Activist Reading Room is an interactive installation designed to connect children, families and students of all ages with stories of small moments that lead to big change. They’ve currated a great list of books all revolving around themes of global peace, environmentalism, family, and relationships with ourselves, others, and the world around us. Beaty Biodiversity Museum

This natural history museum at UBC is always a hit with the kids. They have over 500 permanent exhibitions and others that are constantly changing. Not only do you learn about different animals, but also where and how they live in nature! Visit their website here.

Contemporary Art Gallery

Open Studios is a monthly programs for kids inspired by their current modern exhibits. They host a variety of different themes and workshops. Check out their themes for each week here.

Museum of Vancouver
