ARCHITECTURE TEACHER (SPRING AND SUMMER)
THE ROLE:
Teaching architecture workshops to children 6-12 in different locations in Vancouver, after school and during summer camps.
Must be available Mondays, Wednesdays. and Thursdays from 2.30pm to 6pm starting April until end of June.
Must be available and from 8.30am to 3.30pm the first 3 weeks of July for summer camps.
Possibility to extend the contract starting September.

Part-time, Contract
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual English and French mandatory
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.
1 year or more of experience working with children.
Background or strong interest in architecture and design.
Strong capabilities in crafts, drawing, and model making.
Self motivated, passionate, approachable.
Outgoing, friendly, upbeat and fun!
Criminal record check and Red Cross Certification will be required.
Must have reliable transportation (car preferred).
Formal teaching training is an asset but not required.
LOCATIONS:
Schools and Community centres in Vancouver, mostly around Kistilano / Shaughnessy / South Granville
You are outgoing, you love arts and crafts and making models. You love children, have some educational skills and can maintain a working environment in a classroom. You show up on time and have a great positive attitude. You know how to adapt to the unexpected challenges that may come up in a classroom.
